My nickname & online identity...
I’ve been a fan of Mr. Tim McGraw since the early days of his career, “Welcome to the Club”, and had visited his web site quite often over the years. I would always enjoy reading the message boards, but never really was one to participate online. After moving into my first home, I began collecting bits and pieces of Tim’s career, and found my way to E-Bay and a treasure trove of memorabilia. It was there that I met ~Tina~ from Ohio, who talked me into joining the Zone and posting there. You needed to create a
screen name when joining for the “buddy” list identification, and the first thing that popped into my mind was...
McGrawBuddyinWI...
since it was a Buddy list, for McGraw Fans, and I was in Wisconsin. That was in July of 2003. When management switched to a new designer, and apparently a new host, the message boards were wiped out and we all had to start over. That was when I switched it to McGrawBuddy, since I’ve always wanted to get out of this mitten state anyway, I can be McGrawBuddy wherever the trail may lead me.
I jumped into creating an online presence for myself when Tim’s web site went offline, the main objective being to get back the KnowZone as it had been called in the fan club. My first web site consisted of a single page with a link to my own KnowZone, created with ikonboard as it had been originally. I stayed up all night to get that setup, and it was officially online on August 23, 2004. I didn’t do much with the site other than switching the board over to Invision Power Board in February of 2007, until now. I had to learn how to make a web site for my company, and decided it was time to do something with my own personal pages. So here we have the new markmcgraw.com site, and also, my Fan site dedicated to Tim, which is located at mcgrawfan.markmcgraw.com, or from the navigational link on the menu at the left as McGrawFan. Hope Y’all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
